It's the holiday season, and we LOVE IT!! We're feeling extra festive and yuletide-y this year, and thought we'd share with your our current FAVORITE THINGS this holiday season! Without further ado....
What We're Listening To...
- ANDY: Pentatonix PTXmas. Their vocals are so insane, and I love all of their Christmas music. Also listening heavily to Leslie Odom Jr. Christmas music, at my brother’s suggestion this year.
- TERRY: My all-time favorite Christmas album, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" by Vince Guaraldi Trio. Who doesn't love a good "Tannenbaum" song right out the gate?
What We're Eating...
- ANDY: Christmas Tree Cakes, of course! I wait all year for these little delights to hit the shelves, and I buy box after box through Christmas. I am never NOT without a box at home to snack on. Except for today, which means I need to head to the store tonight and restock.
- TERRY: My wife Amie's famous burritos! It's her family's recipe, and she makes them every year the weekend after Thanksgiving. We decorate the house inside and out, eat burritos, then put the ornaments on the tree. [Makes up for the fact that I overcooked the turkey this Thanksgiving. Booo...]
What We're Drinking...
- ANDY: Eggnog. But not by itself. Our concoction is a half-mug of eggnog, half Sprite, dollop of whipped cream on top. Can’t beat it!
- TERRY: First of all, nice use of "dollop" by my brother. Personally, I enjoy bourbon year round, but around the holidays, I have a long standing tradition of drinking some Basil Hayden.
What We're Watching...
- ANDY: We watch a TON of Christmas movies as a family during the season. Two must-watch ones for me: for comedy, I love Elf, and for sentimental feelings, I love The Family Man.
- TERRY: Trying to think of an answer that ISN'T Below Deck.
